Tilleda Falls Campground Policies

We want everyone to enjoy their stay at Tilleda Falls Campground. Please review the following policies and rules before making your reservation. These policies apply to all registered campers, guests, visitors, and anyone using the campground.

By making a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to follow all campground policies and rules. 

 

🏕️ Reservations

Advance reservations are recommended as our sites and rental units fill quickly.

All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Reservations are made for the specific site or rental unit selected. Only the number of people, pets, vehicles, and camping units permitted under the reservation may occupy the site.

 

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Site Occupancy & Additional Fees

Each campsite rate includes:

• One camping unit
• Two adults and their dependent children under 18, with a maximum of 5 people total
• One dog
• One vehicle

Additional charges apply as follows:

• Additional adults/children: $10 per adult, per night
• Additional dogs: $10 per dog, per stay
• Additional vehicles: $10 per vehicle, per night

Additional vehicles include cars, trucks, boats, trailers, toy haulers, and similar vehicles or equipment.

Only one camping unit is permitted per campsite. Multiple camping units are permitted only on a designated group site with an appropriate group reservation.

Parking is limited throughout the campground. Please contact us before arrival if you have additional parking needs.

 

🔥 Campsite Rules

Each campsite includes a fire ring, picnic table, and water and electric hookup.

• Campfires are permitted in the provided fire rings only.
• Wood fires only. Do not burn garbage or other materials.
• Fire rings may not be moved or altered.
• Do not nail, screw, staple, or attach anything to trees.
• Do not alter any part of your campsite, including shrubs, trees, branches, or fire rings.
• If you move the picnic table, please return it to its original location before departure.
• Rugs and mats are not permitted on grassy areas.
• Screened tents or anything requiring stakes in the ground must receive campground approval before being installed. This is necessary to prevent damage to underground water and electrical lines.
• All garbage must be placed in the dumpster located behind Site 30.
• Recycling is strongly encouraged. Recycling bins are located next to the dumpster.

Fireworks, including sparklers, are not permitted anywhere in the campground.

 

👋 Guests & Visitors

Visitors are welcome between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM.

For insurance and liability reasons, all visitors must come to the office and register upon arrival.

• Day Guest: $5 per person
• Overnight Guest: $10 per person
• Dogs brought by guests are subject to the applicable pet fee.

Campers are responsible for the conduct of their guests and are personally liable for any injury or property damage arising from the actions of their guests.

 

🚗 Motor Vehicles, Bicycles & Golf Carts

For the safety of all campers, especially young children, the campground 5 mph speed limit must be observed at all times.

The 5 mph speed limit applies to all motorized and non-motorized vehicles, including cars, trucks, bicycles, and similar equipment.

• All vehicles must display a valid vehicle pass with your site number.
• Do not park additional vehicles in empty campsites, along roadways, or near the beach.
• Minibikes, dirt bikes, electric scooters, electric bikes, golf carts, ATVs, UTVs, and similar off-road vehicles are not permitted.
• Bicycles ridden after dark must have lights.
• Guests may not cut through other campsites on foot, by bicycle, or by vehicle.
• Electric vehicle charging is strictly prohibited.

Additional vehicles, including cars, trucks, boats, trailers, and toy haulers, are subject to the $10 per vehicle, per night fee.

 

🐾 Pet Policy

We welcome all dog breeds; however, aggressive dogs are not permitted. Pet owners are responsible for their animals and their behavior at all times.

• Dogs must be kept on a visible, physical leash at all times, including at your campsite and while in the water.
• Dog fences are not permitted due to our liability insurance requirements. A dog fence does not replace or eliminate the requirement for a physical leash.
• Pets may not be left unattended at any time.
• Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets, regardless of who is walking the dog.
• A $60 off-leash fine will be assessed if a dog is found off-leash.
• Dogs that are uncomfortable around people should not be brought into common areas.
• Pets are not permitted inside buildings or on the beach.
• Excessive barking is not permitted.

Farm Animals

Farm animals are strictly prohibited on individual campsites or in RV units, including but not limited to sheep, pigs, ducks, and chickens.

 

🏊 Swimming & Beach Policy

The beach is for registered campers and their registered guests during non-quiet hours.

• No dogs
• No lifeguard on duty. Parental supervision is required.
• No smoking or vaping
• No open fires
• No glass
• No fishing

 

🌙 Quiet Hours & Campground Conduct

Quiet hours are 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

Please be considerate of your fellow campers. During quiet hours, music must be turned down and conversations kept at low volume.

All minors must be supervised and back at their campsite by 9:00 PM.

Disruptive, threatening, excessively loud, or otherwise inappropriate behavior is not permitted. Campground Management reserves the right to remove anyone from the campground due to disruptive behavior.

 

🕑 Check-In & Check-Out

RV Campsites

• Check-in: 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM (all rental unit guests must check in no later than 9:00 PM)
• Check-out: 12:00 PM

 

🪵 Early Check-In & Late Check-Out

Early check-in and late check-out may be available only with prior approval and based on availability.

For RV campsites:

• Early check-in before 2:00 PM: $3 per hour

For rental units:

• Early check-in before 2:00 PM: $5 per hour

Please call on the day of your reservation to confirm whether early arrival is available before coming to the campground.

Late check-out may also be available for a fee, subject to availability. Please contact the campground for approval and the applicable fee.

 

🏡 Rental Units

Please visit our Rental Units page for photos and additional information about each unit.

• A 2-night minimum stay is required for all rental units. A 3-night minimum applies to holiday weekends.
• No additional camping unit is permitted on a rental unit site.
• All rental units are smoke and vape free, including cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, vaping devices, and any other smoking or vaping products. A $100 cleaning fee will be charged for violations.

Pets by Rental Unit

Pet policies vary by rental unit:

Cabin A and Cabin B

• Dogs permitted
• Maximum of 2 dogs
• $20 per dog, per night

Cabin C – No pets permitted

Glamping Tent – No pets permitted

A $100 security deposit is charged at the time of reservation. The security deposit covers the proper cleaning and condition of the rental unit, as well as any damage to or missing items from the unit.

The security deposit will be refunded after departure provided the rental unit is left in the same general condition as it was upon arrival, with all personal belongings and garbage removed, and no damage or missing items.

If additional cleaning is required or there is damage or missing items, the applicable cost will be deducted from the security deposit. If the cost exceeds the amount of the security deposit, the remaining balance will be charged to the credit card on file.

Identification

A copy of a valid driver’s license is required for all rental unit reservations during check-in.

 

📝Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. Tilleda Falls Campground follows a consistent cancellation policy for all reservations. Requests for exceptions to this policy will not be considered.

When you make a reservation, we are holding a specific site or rental unit for you and turning away other potential reservations for those dates.

Please review the following terms carefully before booking:

• 14 days or more before arrival: A cancellation is eligible for a refund minus a $30 processing fee only if we are able to rebook the site for the full length of the original stay. If the site does not rebook, no refund will be issued.
• Fewer than 14 days before arrival: No refund will be issued. No exceptions.
• Rescheduling: A reservation may be rescheduled one time within the same camping season with at least 14 days’ notice. Rescheduling requests made fewer than 14 days before arrival cannot be accommodated. Rescheduling is offered in place of cancellation; therefore, any reservation that has been rescheduled and is later canceled is not eligible for a refund or additional credit.
• Holiday reservations: No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellations of reservations that include Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day. No exceptions.
• No Call/No Show: Reservations are automatically canceled at 8:00 AM the day after the scheduled arrival date, and no refund will be issued.

 

🪵 Firewood

To help protect Wisconsin’s trees from invasive insects and diseases, please obtain firewood near where you will use it or use certified firewood that has been properly heat-treated or aged to kill pests and diseases.

Tilleda Falls Campground has had to remove more than 150 trees due to emerald ash borer and other invasive insects and diseases.

🚽Sewage Dumping

One sewage dump is included with each campsite reservation.

Additional dumps are $20 each.

Guests who are not camping at Tilleda Falls Campground may use the dump station for a $20 fee.

The dump station is connected to holding tanks. Water is not available at the dump station for rinsing tanks, as additional water could cause the holding tanks to overflow.

 

🚿Showers

Our showers are coin-operated.

2 quarters = approximately 5½ minutes of hot water.

 

💳 Payment

Due to credit card processing costs, a 3% credit card processing fee is applied each time a credit card is used for a reservation or store transaction.

 

📸Photography

Camper agrees that any photographs taken by campground staff, which they or their family appear in, may be used for advertising purposes.

 

📋Rule Enforcement

These policies are in place for the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests.

Campground Management reserves the right to address violations of campground policies and to require a guest or visitor to leave the campground when necessary due to rule violations, disruptive behavior, unsafe conduct, property damage, or other circumstances that interfere with the safety or enjoyment of other guests.

No refunds will be provided when a guest is required to leave the campground due to violation of campground rules.
