Our Story

A Family-Friendly Escape to the Northwoods

Tilleda Falls Campground is your perfect getaway for family-friendly camping and outdoor adventures. Nestled in a pristine corner of the North Branch of the Embarrass River, this historic campground was once home to a sawmill built in 1887. Today, we’re proud to offer a unique, peaceful camping experience, rich in history and surrounded by nature. The original sawmill store is still part of the campground, and when you visit, you’ll notice the charming sawdust underfoot!

In January 2019, Paul and Rachel Janda took ownership of the campground, bringing their passion for camping to this incredible destination. With 20 years of camping experience, and having spent many summers camping from Door County to Copper Harbor, they knew Tilleda Falls was the perfect place to call home. After a decade of visiting the campground with their family, the decision to make it their own was an easy one.

Today, Tilleda Falls Campground offers a variety of activities, amenities, and opportunities to create lasting memories. Whether you’re here to relax by the river, explore the great outdoors, or take part in our weekend activities, we’re here to make your experience unforgettable.
